How it works

High-pressure airflow straightens hair as it dries. Air is precisely heated and projected evenly through the tress as you style — with no need for extreme heat. No hot plates. No heat damage.

Why straighten from wet?

Style reset. When hair is wet, its hydrogen bonds are more pliable and easier to reset. Using a combination of moisture and airflow, hair is styled effectively — without extreme heat.

The science of shine. Lower temperatures and resetting the hair's bonds from wet protect its internal structure, so it can reflect more light for a shiny finish.

Pioneering Dyson technology

• Directional airflow. Air is projected downwards at a 45° angle to create the tension needed to align hair for a smooth end style — with less damage and breakage.
• Intelligent heat control. Glass bead thermistors in the machine arms regulate airflow temperature up to 16 times per second, to prevent extreme heat damage and protect natural shine.
• Dyson Hyperdymium™ motor. A 13-blade impeller spins up to 106,000 rpm, propelling 11.9 litres of air per second and generating 3.6 kPa of air pressure — powerful enough to straighten hair as it dries.
